About Us

Ace Education Centre is a family-owned learning hub in Barrie, Ontario, founded in 2025 by Kristine, Phil, and Shirley DaCosta. With over 20 years of teaching experience each, our team blends a wealth of knowledge, passion, and unique perspectives to create a truly one-of-a-kind learning environment.

Our approach combines the best of three worlds: the independence and curiosity fostered by a Montessori mindset, the real-world insight of what works (and what doesn’t) in the public school system, and the confidence-building, creativity-driven methods honed through years of teaching improvisation and drama.

At Ace, we believe education is more than academics — it’s about inspiring independent thinkers, embracing different learning styles, and nurturing creativity. We encourage every student to think outside the box, celebrate their individuality, and develop both academic mastery and essential life skills. From time management and organization to problem-solving and self-confidence, our goal is to equip learners of all ages with tools that will propel them forward, not just in school, but in life.
